Pease explain.
the total capacity of tank = 12 gallons
Kms run = 250
Gas used = 250/30 gallons
amount of gas used as a fraction of the tank = 250/360 = 25/36

tank=12 gallons
in 5 hrs car drives @ 50mph=250 miles
for 30 miles car consumes =1 gallon
for 250 consumption is=250/30=25/3

fraction=consumption/capacity=25/3/12=25/36

Velocity of car = 50 mph, In 5 hrs distance covered = 50 x 5 = 250 miles
so volume of gas used = 250/30
fraction of tank = 250/30/12 = 25/36. Ans E
