This can be solved by plugin

Assume P = 12, So S=12/3 = 4 each side for an equilateral triangle
split the eq. triangle in two halves, the vertical line is the height H
consider this now as a right angled triangle with hypot - 4 , base = 4/2 = 2
use pytho theorm 2 square + H Square = 4 square; H = 2 sqrt 3

Substitute : P=12 , in each of the answers below . The one which gives 2 sqrt 3 is the answer i.e D

Always remembr : In an equilateral triangle,
Height = sqrt3.a/2 where a is the side of an equilateral triangle.
In this case a = p/3
