Can you evaluate the profile of some normal foreighner?
Target school: Wharton, LBS, Insead, MIT, Stern
Country: Korean
GMAT: Female
Age: 29
Education: Business Administration from average college in Korea
GPA: 3.57/4.5
GMAT: 690 (Quant 50, Verbal 33)
TOEFL: 105
Certificate: KICPA
Language: Korean, Japanese, English
Working Experience
1) 2 years in Deloitte (Associate)
Auditing and tax consulting for Japanese companies.
2) 2 years in PwC (Senior Associate)
Due dilligence and valuation for restructuring, M&A
3) 3 years in a goverment bank (Associate)
- 2 years in Coporate restructuring department: managing credit issue, managing negociation among creditors, building exit plan
- 1 year in a local branch: coporate banking
*I got transferred to a local branch from this February. Because all the permanent employees should be rotated for every two years. I switched my job to a banking section to be a banker using my analytic skill that I have earned from 4 years career in accounting firms.
The reason for applying b-schools at this point
1) Somehow my lacking experience in abroad limits my work scope
2) I want to earn decent credit from clients by getting a degree of top b-school
3)Being a permanent employee in a government bank is a quiet stable job; however it is somewhat detour to be a professional.
I am thinking several routes on my career after graduation
1) working as an credit analyst of a global credit rating company
2) working in an investment bank or pivate equity specilized in restructring or NPL investment
Though I'm very embarassed for targeting the top schools as a another boring asian candidate, I wrote my background straightforwardly.
I am wondering...
?)Should I retake GMAT to raise the chance. I'm thinking to apply a second round of my target schools
?)Is there any drawback that I must be clear on the essay.
?)Does my career goal consist with my previous trace or...are they too obvious?
