The trick with function "f(x)" questions is to insert whatever is in between the bracket into the variable in the equation.

So if question asked, what is f(2), you would insert 2 into the "x" spots in the equation above.
(2 - 1)^2 = 1

Now just simply insert "x - 1" into the unknown variable of the same equation and see what you get.

The dude before me offered the final solution, and now I'm showing you the method. So I think you can solve this one for yourself in this learning based environment.
