Can I submit an application without AWA score?

Dear tolmar,

The AWA score will be included on your official GMAT score report sent to the schools. So, the schools will have your AWA score as well as your written answers to include in the evaluation of your application.

Hi Lisa,

Thanks for the quick reply, but maybe I wasn't clear on my question. I want to submit the application before the scores are mailed to the school.
I know that the school gets them eventually, but I was wondering if I can expedited my application by submitting the Verbal and Quant scores (that I got on the test day), and only after 20 days the school will get my AWA score.

Thanks for a clarification on this.

Yes, you can go ahead and submit your online application without it unless the school has coded that answer as a requirement for submission. Most schools do not code it as a requirement since they will receive the official score report, but be aware that you might not be able to submit without it. Additionally, the school might not start reviewing your application until all parts of your application are received, including the official GMAT score report. However, some schools will proceed with a copy of your unofficial score report.

HI ,
i was going through this same dilemma as my official score will come later than the deadline of some of my perspective colleges i was wondering how risky this might be. (to submit official GMAT with AWA scores later)

this is because i cant be sure about the policy of individual colleges

is there some way to go about finding this out

Dear parampreet.anand,

I would suggest emailing or calling the schools where you applied to inquire on whether your application will be held pending the official GMAT score report. Or, if the school will move forward with the application evaluation with your self-reported numbers.
