well,
i really want to know the highest score ,scored by any gmat taker so far of my country.
Does GMAC publish any such info.

I really need that i country doesnot have any 750+ GMAT score so far in its history.

Lots of reasons there.

any way to know that...?

I doubt GMAC would release such information, and I am curious how it would be relevant to you as a student.

well,one instructor told me...
ok it is impossible for student of x university to get 700 in gmat...
(may be she said so because the schooling system is feeble there...or in that country...)

i want to know gmat score of my country so that i can beat it...lol...so that i can set it as target....

i am non native english speaker...so i dont dream to get 800 or even 750+ for now....(considering standards of my country education.....)
i may be able to do but it will take lots of preparation...
and now for me it doesnt make sense to prepare preparing for gmat for whole year...

so...

Very interesting target...

There are plenty of people who scored above 750 without English being their native language.

What country are you from? I have some data about the average of all the students' scores from every country, and the number of students who have taken the test from your country, but as far as I know the GMAC hasn't made the highest score from each country public. However, if there is only one other person in your country who has taken the test I can tell you the highest score :)

i know
and i am not saying it is impossible
'but having said that,
the schooling, style student was taught, level of details in course does make a huge difference

for eg,when i was in school 'compare with' and 'compare to' was same for me(just an example...they never told that it would make difference.....we were more concerned conveying meaning rather than conveying it in best way.....which gmat tries to do...)

680?! What is your source? If you're looking at the info that GMAC released about a year ago like I am, and if I'm not mistaken, then I think the country with the highest average score is New Caledonia and its average is 610.

well
i am not taking about the overall average....
i am taking about highest so far...
The one big gmat training institute here say that they have student who has scored 680 some year ago... and that is the highest i hav heard so far.......(there may be other as well...but dont know)
whimsical it may sound but it is the truth.

Lots of factors in there.

I have found according to 2005 data, average score for my country is 446(lol ...may be one reason why i am not able to get more than 600-630 in prep test) even after preparing for more than 3 months...
