I am a final year Electronic Engineering Student in the University of Southampton England originally from India. I have registered for my GMAT exam on 31st of march. I am looking for a score of around 700+ as I have applied for MSC in Investment Banking and Finance in various UK universities and I don't have a very good percentage in my Undergraduate degree(less than 60 Percent).
I have got the following material with me:
1. Manhattan SC (Almost Finished left with the last chapter).
2. Kaplan Premier Edition(Finished Already)
3. Kaplan Basic Verbal(Finished SC)
4. Nova (Finished Quantitative and SC(All 7 Exercises))
5. Official Guide 10---Starting next week on Monday and finishing it on thusday.
6. Official Guide Quantiative Review--Starting next week on Friday and Finishing it by Saturday.
7. Official Guide Verbal Review-- Starting Next week as well Saturday and finishing it on Sunday
8. Officail Guide 11-- Starting in 2 weeks from now Monday 17th march
and Finishing it by Thursday 20th march.
9. Kaplan 800-- Starting on 21st march Friday and finishing it on 23rd March Sunday.
Besides this I am regularly taking down notes and keeping up with my mistakes the only problem I have is with SC especially the Kaplan 1 in which i get only 60 percent of my questions correct. The most annoying part is the questions which I get wrong, have answers which I eliminated last.
I want to build on this SC portion. I took GMAT diagnostic on Kaplan website and got 27/38. There my main problem was DS got 5 questions wrong had no clue abt it at that time.
I am keeping my last week for online tests. I already have GMATPrep, Kaplan premier CD and Nova CD.
1 Important point I would like to make is I haven't seen AWA section from any of the above mentioned books although I have started to look at the sample essays each day before I go to bed for 30 odd mins. I haven't practiced writing any essays but have been looking at the solutions of the essays to the Official GMAT pool.
I am making an effort to work 5-6 hrs everyday (although aim for 10 hours but never really happens
) The good thing is I start with my easter break on 14th of March and it runs on till I finish my GMAT exam.
I have stuck 2 charts on my wall 1 has all the silly mistakes(GMAT SILLY POINT) I commit and the other Has my schedule listed on it with checkpoints as I finish every task.
Now I need people here to advice me and help me with my schedule. What I am doing is sufficient or should I include anything else?
