Can GMAT Tutoring prove useful in chasing a 760?

I am of the impression is that GMAT Tutoring/Classroom can help someone get to a 700.

However scoring in the Top 1%ile has to do more with building strategy around individual stengths/weakness than learning more content.

I had to respond to this post!

What an interesting idea you have of private tutoring. GMAT tutoring should not be like tutoring for a math test. GMAT tutors should be focusing on strategies and methods and techniques. The student should really spend time mastering content, such as geometry formulas, outside of sessions.

In fact I would say that if I had to sum up private GMAT tutoring in one phrase it would be (quoted from above) "building strategy around individual stengths/weakness."

Actually this is the biggest difference between taking a class and getting private tutoring. A class will cover material that should help everyone. The tutoring is specifically focused on the strengths and weaknesses of the individual.

That is one teacher/ tutor's opinion anyway!
