20 + 17 + 19 is proportional to 168

58 = K 168
19 = K x

x= 19 * 168 /58 = 55.04

Calls cannot be a fractional so choose 56

OA plz

20x+17x+19x=168
x=3
19*3=57

So 57 calls in August

x is used a quantifier. To make it more understandable-
here it goes:

n: # of calls
w: # of days worked

n proportional w => n=wx where x=quantifier

using the above eqn:
n(j) + n(jl) + n(a) = 20x + 17x + 19x

168 = total vol. of calls during 3 months = 56x
=> x= 3

n(a) = 19x = 19(3) = 57
