Greetings People,

I am interested in some feedback. I will start with my background and move onto future plans.
"¢ I am a mechanical engineer currently employed in a reputable company with BS and MS in mechanical engineering and 6-7 years of experience, most of which is in product development.
"¢ I have been in prod dev role for the last 4 years and will be in the same role for next few yrs as well (for immigration reasons)
"¢ I believe that this is the prefect time for me to start MBA with my experience level and my career level (Mid career - 1 step away from a supervising or team lead position).
"¢ I already took GMAT and scored 660 (don't remember the breakdown but quant was higher than verbal)

So my question is regarding choice of schools. I am planning on a weekend MBA, My school options are limited by the tuition since I will be paying it from my own pocket. This limits me to Chicago area or nearby due to my geographic location. I am hence looking into DePaul Univ or Purdue. Both have weekend options.

So, the question is if these schools are good investment for future or not, and which one is better. My other option will be a local no-name school which will be even cheaper option. I do understand many people will propose Booth or Kelloggs but I am trying to work within my finances and a 120K degree is not an option. I am also aspiring to get into engineering management and not looking for a career change into consulting or finance.
