the "critics" should be of artists and not of "artist's alleges",,

C does not hold the Subject verb agreement. Subject "Critics " is plural and the singular verb "alleges" is not appropriate here.

Critics plural - can't be 'alleges'

agree with Bidisha - 'allege' would be correct and perhaps the ideal choice here.
