Bonus/Salary Question

Hi Lisa,

I'm planning on applying to schools in November. If I expect a salary raise or bonus in December, is it better to wait until then to apply, or can I apply in November and then email the Admissions Committee in the weeks after about the change in my salary?

Also, how big of a factor is salary/bonus in general?

Thanks in advance!

Dear ozzy10fl,

It is definitely not worth holding your application for as it is not really a factor in the decision. It is a piece of data collected as a measure of the incoming class, mainly used to compare to the class' salary upon graduation and then at 3 years out.

Regards,
Lisa
