Blue Chip B-Schools

by sanchitsharma3 » Sat Feb 27, 2010 11:39 am
Hi Everyone

I was actually researching for good b-schools and I got bored looking at same names again and again.....which made me a little curious about the BLUE CHIP B-SCHOOLS, schools which are not known alot globally but have great reputation within that specific region and are good value for money, and I found 3 Blue chip B-Schools which are:-

A: GSB of UNIVERSITY CAPE TOWN SOUTH AFRICA
B: COPEAD of BRAZIL
C: B-school of UNIVERSITY OF DUBLIN

So if anyone can throw some light on similar schools in CANADA then please help or if you know good value for money b-schools then also please share....

With Warm Regards
Sanchit

At one point of time i was doing this same exact thing and here are the list of schools that i came up with:

- Imperial college MBA
- Vlerick Leuven Gent in Belgium
- Ipade, mexico
- Tsinghua University, Beijing China (considered a lottery in China if you get accepted)
- Trinity college

For Canada:

- McGill
- HEC Montreal
- UBC
-Queens

I like this topic:

Insead - France
IMD - Switzerland
HEC - France
ESSEC - France
Esade - Spain
I think University of Toronto as well...

Ha ha i thought Sanchitsharma wanted schools that "are not known alot globally but have great reputation". INSEAD < IMD and ESADE are pretty much in the headlines :). JK. Yup i love this thread.

Yes absolutely agree on that. These schools are not like Harvard which even people in remote villages have heard about. Even i had never heard about ESADE, but when i started my research, it seemed like the recruiters had heard a lot about it  Did i mention that i had applied to ESADE too!

Hi, I am new around here. I have been doing some checking on University of Otago, New Zealand. The University has double accredition and all that. But there is little about the job/career oppurtunities for the students or their placement records on their site. Is there anyone here with some info on the University of Otago?

P.S.I also wanna know what would the average GMAT score to get into the University of Otago.
