B.Tech Biomedical Engineering is an undergraduate program which is of a total of 4 years duration, divided into 8 semesters. The candidates who have passed 12th or any equivalent degree in any Science stream can pursue a course in B. Tech Biomedical Engineering. Through this course, the students are provided with a curriculum of the specialised concept of Biomedical Engineering with in-depth theoretical and practical knowledge of Biomedical concepts. The various areas of concepts which are covered by B. Tech in Biomedical Engineering course include Biology, Biomedical, Technology in Biomedical, Biomedical process, issues with Biomedical and Biology, etc. The selection of candidates for admission to B.Tech Biomedical Engineering course is done either through direct admission or through a national level entrance exam such as JEE Mains. The candidates who wish to pursue a degree in B.Tech Biomedical Engineering must fulfil certain eligibility criteria in order to get eligible for the course. Though the eligibility criteria for admission to B. Tech Biomedical Engineering differs from college to college, there are certain minimum eligibility criteria which the candidates must fulfil for admission. The eligibility criteria required for admission to B.Tech Biomedical Engineering are given below: The candidates must have passed 12th or an equivalent degree from a recognised institute/board. The candidate must have opted for Mathematics and Physics as the major subjects in class 12th along with one of the optional subjects as Chemistry/ Biology/ Biotechnology. The candidate must have acquired a minimum aggregate of 50% (45% for the reserved candidates) in the qualifying examination. The candidates who are appearing for the final exam or waiting for the final result can also apply for admission to B. Tech Biomedical Engineering course. The processes used in corporations to conceive and develop devices will be explored from a research, regulatory, clinical, QA/QC, marketing, engineering, and legal perspective under the umbrella of project management techniques. MEDICAL RADIATION SAFETY ENGINEERING High energy radiation like X-rays are used in medical field and health personnels are exposed. This course teaches about safety/ precautions required with radiation. QUALITY CONTROL AND REGULATORY ASPECTS IN MEDICAL DEVICES At present around half million different medical device available in the marker and those devices also cost a lot of money to government. Many countries are lacking access to such devices and therefore this course will help medical professionals to identify and regulate the quality and accessibility of medical devices. TROUBLE SHOOTING OF MEDICAL INSTRUMENTS This course focuses on Engineering concept drives any medical instrument and any operational or manufacturing fault troubleshooting requires an expert who can understand engineering as well as medical science behind it.

Yes dear, its worthy to take admission under B.tech biomedical engineering programme in LPU. It seamlessly articulates the concepts from basic science to technology with relevant practice through lab and projects pertaining to biomedical engineering for building the problem solving skills, keeping industry requirements in place. The eligibility of programme is - Pass with 60% aggregate marks in 10+2 (with Physics, Chemistry, English and Mathematics or Biology or Biotechnology) or equivalent, subject to qualifying LPUNEST*. For a candidate, who has not studied English as a subject, the condition of English may be waived off provided the candidate in his qualifying exam has studied in English medium or an equivalent subject.
