I am just embarking on this GMAT journey and I am having trouble getting off the ground.

I would like to take the test in March, giving me about two months time to prepare. I work a full time job and a part time one as well.

What is the best way to prepare - on my own or take a prep class?

I was leaning towards preparing on my own with the Official Guide as well as supplementary books to build my core skills. Can anyone suggest what books I should use together? I suck in math.

I really appreciate the advice!!!

Check out this article for a few tips on how to prep in three months. I know you don't have that much time on your hands, but you can tailor the plan to your needs.

Also, if math is a weak spot, the Manhattan GMAT series of 5 books is pretty good as well.

As to whether you should prep using a course or self study, it depends on your habits. If you have trouble establishing a fixed schedule for yourself, then going for the structure that a course provides might be a good idea. However, I'm pretty sure that most courses are either crash courses (something like two weeks intensive or one weekend 16 hours) or three months long. You'll need to do some research on this one!
