Best timing for the GMAT? 0900h or 1300h?

I am going to book my GMAT soon. I am looking for opinions on whether to book for the 9 am slot or for the 1 pm slot.
Statistically, I performed better in my Univ exams which were held in the morning. Any disadvantages of morning GMATs? One disadvantage I can think is bad previous night sleep due to higher anxiety.

So you're question's about the time of day,
That helps you kill the GMAT, so to say,
Well from what I know, I definitely recommend,
A morning slot for you my friend.

"Why, oh why" you might cry...
Well, for one, hunger can ruin your try.
And good sleep should be a piece of cake,
As long as the night before some cookies and milk you take.

Statistics are usually right,
And the morning's when your mind is bright.
Lest you gorge a wee bit more to munch,
And snore away in the GMAT hall after your heavy lunch.

En contraire, you might just fast,
And realize through your stomach's rumbling that you aren't going to last,
Four and a half hours of an exam (that's just not right),
And you might just need to zip out to take a bite.

So put your little dilemma to ease,
And don't listen to those that tell you to do as you please,
I think you have a grand life vision forming...
Start it off by cracking the GMAT in the morning :)

If you schedule it in afternoon, you will spend the whole day worrying about it.
But make sure you can reach the venue easily and conveniently on time :)

This is my opinion when I was writing the test for the frst time i took the morning 9 AM slot
then finshed the first 2 sections and then around when i as in the mid of the math section the 1 AM slot guy came in
and ofcourse he went click click on his keyboard and I just could not focus ... it was too much to bear... the keyboard was too much to take ... so for me it is 1 am the next time

In the morning for me. If you couldn't sleep the night before chances are you won't be able to get much rest in the morning either before the test in the afternoon. In all likelihood your performance will be even worse because you will be even more exhausted from worrying/excitement about the test if it kept you up at night.

I would suggest you to relax and try to not let it affect your sleeping pattern
