Hey leader112,

The good thing you have done now is to understand what the exam is and the kind of materials you require. GMAT preparation must be at least 3 months in my opinion so you are targeting the right month for actual GMAT if you start right away.

Take a diagnostic test first (GMAT Prep or Manhattan GMAT's free test) and see what your weaknesses are. Only based on this analysis, you could plan to buy best books and start working on it.

Coming to books irrespective of what your weaknesses are, official guides are the must. They are written by the real test-makers and the questions that are published are retired GMAT real questions. I would recommend you to buy OG12 and OG supplements (Math & verbal).

So, take a diagnostic test and buy the official guides first. Let us know your analysis of weaknesses and then we will be able to help you further.

I believe that the GMAT is a very beatable exam, thus, strategy is everything. I suggest studying 2-3 months, 3hrs/day on weekdays and 6hrs/day on weekends.

If you go with Manhattan GMAT, which I highly recommend, make sure to use their OG Tracker, which is a tool that allows you to easily understand your weaknesses and strengths. Therefore, as time goes by, you will be able to target those areas where you take the longest to answer the question or where you usually get the answers wrong.
