Review For Personal MBA Coach
Extremely Helpful, Patient, & Knowledgable
I can’t say enough good things about Scott and his team. I would 100% recommend him to anyone who is applying to business school. His personal approach is unique. Anytime we needed to chat, he was available for calls. I always spoke to him, as his team operated efficiently in the background. Scott was always expedient on responding to emails and he was meticulous when he provided suggested edits to essays and application prompts. If we did not see eye-to-eye on a certain detail as it pertained to the essays or application, he would explain his thoughts in-depth, and then we would come to an agreed-upon decision on how to approach. Ultimately, he helped me achieve my goal of getting into one of my top choices, and I cannot be any happier. I am so thankful to have had the opportunity to work with Scott and the Personal MBA Coach team to achieve my dream of matriculating at a top-20 MBA program. Thank you again, Scott!

I used Personal MBA Coach for their 5-school package, and I ended up signing up for my sixth school since they broke down the complicated application process into simpler step-by-step process.
Before I started my application process, I did a fair bit of research on consultants, and finally decided to go with Personal MBA Coach. From Day 1, Scott will give you the honest, non-sugarcoated advice that everybody needs. As a business school applicant, you need to understand what your strengths are as well as your weaknesses. Most consultants are good with telling you your strengths, but they are not as good with telling you your weaknesses as they do not want to upset you. Scott was different, and hence I decided to go with Scott and his team.
Throughout the application process, I knew that I could rely on Personal MBA Coach as Scott was always there and would answer my emails/questions even during weekends or Christmas! From minor points in my overall story to locations I should select for my interviews, Scott would answer all my questions (no matter how minor and tedious they might be).
I am now admitted by one of the top 3 programs in the US, and will be matriculating this fall. I highly recommend Personal MBA Coach if you are looking for the best consultant in the industry as I know I probably would not have made it without Scott and his team.

I cannot recommend www.mbaprepcoach.com highly enough and wanted to post my testimonial as a recommendation.
When Farrell and I first started working together, I had a plan, but I was lost. I was following the standard career path for my industry; start in engineering, get an MBA, move into business development. There was nothing in my plan that aligned with who I am or what I believe in. Farrell saw through this, and so would an admissions committee.
We started with introspection and goal setting. We dove deep into my entire life story, not just my professional journey! I told her of the good times that I love to share and the hard times that I’d rather forget. Farrell got to know me better than I know myself. She posed challenging questions that pushed me to my emotional limits but helped me uncover who I am and what I bring as a unique individual.
After learning about who I am, the school choices fell into place. Farrell identified MBA programs that aligned with my goals and pushed me to research each one, connecting me with her past clients who were current students or alums and recommending podcasts and business school guides. It felt like pieces of a puzzle coming together. I could see myself at each institution, working towards a future that would bring me true fulfilment.
After choosing the schools, crafting the essays was next. Farrell has developed a process that is structured and clear. She identified the stories that would bring life to each essay, coaching me to bring out in my writing the unique qualities that I will be able to share with my future classmates. She provided me with untethered feedback, designed to bring out the best in me and my writing, even if I felt the words were tough to hear. We worked through drafts, day and night (it felt like Farrell never took a holiday, she was that committed!), until together we had created something that would show the admissions committee who I truly am in a way that they would really hear.
When I got my first interview invitation, I was over the moon. When I received my 7th interview invitation, I was in shock. Farrell was just as happy as I was, but she wasn’t in shock. She would never lie to make me happy and was always transparent about my chances, but she was confident that she had helped me present myself in a way that made me stand out among a pool of brilliant candidates.
Throughout the interview process, Farrell was dedicated to help me adapt my story to each individual interview. We outlined anecdotes and fit them into a framework that I will use in interviews for the rest of my life. I recorded myself on video and she provided honest feedback that helped me refine my stories into short, effective responses that captured the key messages that I want to convey. Most importantly, Farrell was my biggest fan and I walked into every interview feeling like I deserved a place on that school’s MBA program.
In the end, I chose to accept an offer from Harvard Business School with offers from Duke, Kellogg, MIT and Berkeley and waitlists from Yale and Stanford. $25K offer from MIT and $60K from Duke. Great results for someone without any diversity points to speak of and a 720 GMAT.
However, I gained so much more from this process than these results. I learned about who I am, what I bring and what will bring me true fulfilment in life. Farrell has been my admissions consultant, my life coach, my harshest critic, my biggest fan and my best friend and I’ll forever be in her debt.

I think you have a false image of what a consultant is, please correct me if I am mistaken. But an MBA consultant is one who has the knowledge of business schools and so they are able to guide you and get the best out of you to lead to your dream school just like a teacher, who has the knowledge, guides you to a good future.geronimoshere wrote: ↑Thu Oct 04, 2012 2:09 amPlease publish the results Machichi... I've been trying to figure this out but so many random discussions on this... Most pointing to Sandy vs Stacy, or Veritas vs ClearAdmit.
The only problem for me is that I don't have the USD3000+ that most of these guys ask for a single school. What's the strategy to mazimise efficiency while minimizing outlays?
Do admissions consultants even make sense? Do they really increase one's chances of getting in - if so, what a shame. (I guess I'll cry about unethical ways of using someone else to make my case stronger, but eventually end up using one anyway!)
And yes, about deciding a consultant, do not go with a brand. Try to talk to different consultants and see, for yourself, which ones click with you and will give your proper time and quality for helping you understand yourself and craft good essays.
Cheers!

Review for PERSONAL MBA COACH
I highly recommend Scott from PERSONAL MBA COACH as an excellent MBA applications consultant.
Here is why:
-My primary goal was to get into Sloan and I think I was not a perfect candidate (not a super high GMAT or undergrad GPA, etc.). He really helped to bring my best story to come out in my application.
-He kept me organized in my thought process and with the deadlines throughout the application cycle.
-He gave me an honest assessment of my strengths and weaknesses as an applicant. He knows how to leverage your strengths and mitigate your weaknesses. He is experienced and practical. He listens and crafts a practical strategy that is tailored to your circumstances.
-I am a person who asks a lot of questions (sometimes a little too much) and he is very patient. He is friendly and professional at the same time.
I really enjoyed working with Scott. Looking back I think it was a really wise decision. With his help, I was able to get into my target program and also got a scholarship. Highly recommended!

I cannot recommend Scott and Personal MBA Coach more highly.
I reached out to Personal MBA Coach in mid-November after working with another consultant for 3+ months without making much progress on my applications. I wound up starting from scratch, but in spite of the relatively late start, I was able to submit 6 complete applications (MIT, NYU, Wharton, Stanford, HBS, Columbia) for round 2. Scott and his team were incredible, and as soon as I was on board with Scott the progress was immediate and tangible. Thereafter, any delays in my applications were of my own making and I was continually surprised by the promptness with which essays were turned. The service is truly “turnkey” and I received comprehensive help for all of the schools I was fortunate enough to interview with and be waitlisted at. At the end of the day I got into one of my top schools.
I really just want to thank Scott and the whole Personal MBA Coach team for all of their efforts on my behalf.

My first interaction with Scott was the initial consultation call that we had. During this discussion, it was clear to me that I was in experienced and safe hands. I also understood that any suggestions/feedback I'd receive from the team would be direct, honest and likely not sugar coated. This appealed to me and I immediately committed to working with them. I believe that Scott and the Personal MBA Coach team made all the difference in me securing an admission to my desired business school.
Right from the moment I got on board, the process was seamless and fast-paced. The fact that the team checked in on me to ensure pace whenever I delayed is a big positive. I was very impressed by the promptness with which I received edits on my essays and found that these edits prodded me in the right direction, ultimately allowing me to submit my best essay. I must commend the team's dedication to ensuring my success as they worked through some very tight deadlines on multiple occassions, for which I'm extremely grateful!!

I really enjoyed working with Scott and the personal MBA Coach team and can genuinely say that they added a lot of value to my essays. I saw my essays take shape through the iterations and was amazed at how specific and contextual every sentence had gotten. The process of working with the team was very smooth from start to finish and the team was really responsive throughout.
I highly recommend working with the Personal MBA Coach team if you'd like to improve your chances of getting into a top b-school. I managed to get into an M7 school with their help!

Hey!
I've seen this post and wanted to leave a reply for the amazing team of Personal MBA Coach.
I’ve known Scott and MJ through Personal MBA Coach’s TBD mock interview prep. I’ve joined a couple of mocks with other candidates before. However, I wasn’t sure about whether my performance was good enough for the real interview. I’ve connected with Scott at the Personal MBA Coach and he introduced me to MJ for a mock session, which was awesome. After the session, we held an amazing feedback session in which she touched on my personal and technical performance. Even after our conversation, she sent a very detailed written feedback for me. It was my first time getting a feedback from a professional for an interview prep and clearly it was a game changer.
I thank MJ for conducting a great mock session, her kind approach, and her amazing feedback. I also thank Scott for the entire process. He has a good heart and is a great professional. I recommend the Personal MBA Coach team to everyone with utmost pleasure.

I highly recommend Scott and the Personal MBA Coach team!
I was referred to Scott by a friend who applied in the 2020 cycle and got admitted to an M7. Right from my first "getting to know you" session, Scott was very direct and honest about my candidacy and MBA prospects, which I really appreciated. I did not have the best scores on paper, but Scott and the team pushed beyond that. The team helped me carve out and perfect my story and resume to show that I was more than just the sum of my numbers. The team helped me identify certain anecdotes from my life and helped me turn them into cases for competency in business school. There is a certain way to craft business school essays, and the PMC team knows exactly what it is and what specific schools are looking for. The whole process was so smooth and well planned that I completed all my applications well before the deadlines.
After countless essay reviews, one on one calls and emails, the team also assisted me with interview prep and gave valuable feedback, ensuring that I was in peak performance.
While I initially had concerns about the price tag, I am ultimately glad I did it.

I used Scott at Personal MBA Coach
Scott is incredibly experienced in MBA admissions, extremely responsive in communications, and attentive to your needs as an applicant. I remember pitching multiple stories for how I was thinking about approaching my applications, and Scott helped me decide on a singular story while we were chatting on the phone. After that, it was off to the races crafting my personal statement.
In addition to the qualitative aspects, Scott was able to drive outstanding results through end-to-end process support. The iterations on my personal statements and admissions essays were timely and actionable, sometimes going so far as scrapping most of a first draft in favor of more concise story-telling. By the end of the process, I felt like I was delivering a narrative that only I could tell, and it came across as very intentional and authentic.
I was able to get into my target program, and Scott played a pivotal role in getting that glorious acceptance phone call!

I worked with Personal MBA Coach and it was an incredible experience. THE BEST, don't hesitate at all!!! You are in safe and great hands!! The whole team is extremely knowledgeable and helpful. With experience in the Middle East and Europe, I was successful in my applications to multiple M7 deferred MBA programs. Personal MBA Coach provided me with structured guidance and tools to prepare for interviews, applications and jobs. The team is always available (7 days/week 24 hours) and very committed to helping you and answering all of your questions. There is an AMAZING dedicated one Personal MBA Coach consultant SCOTT that shapes the overall experience when you work with them, yet Personal MBA Coach broader team has former M7 adcom experts when needed (Nicole is incredible). When I had doubts about my abilities, the whole team motivated me and encouraged me so much! Personal MBA Coach brought the best out of me and challenged me to continuously reassess and reflect on myself so that I can convey my true self when applying. With extensive experience and expertise, the team is so professional, genuine, detailed and authentic when providing advice on how to improve. I highly recommend Personal MBA Coach to anyone thinking of applying to an MBA!!
