Beat The GMAT Forum Rules

I'd like to lay down some ground rules for the Beat The GMAT community. There is only one general principle that I would like all our members to follow: be nice and supportive to one another. It's my hope that this community will serve as a friendly online haven for GMAT and MBA aspirants--a place where anyone would feel comfortable asking questions and posting responses. Let's do our best to maintain a positive karma. We're not here to judge, but rather to help!

That being said, there are a few things that will not be tolerated on this forum. Doing the following can get you banned:
  • Posting more than one question per post (it's annoying!)
  • Spamming (in posts, e-mails, privates messages)
  • Registering and posting from multiple accounts
  • Posting profane or discriminatory remarks
  • Posting illegal content, warez, pornography
  • Posting study materials that are copyrighted by GMAC or any other third party
  • Posting or discussing actual "live" questions from the GMAT exam that have not been publicly disclosed by GMAC
  • Post bumping (the user keeps replying to his own post to maintain top-forum visibility)
  • Cross posting (user makes the same post in multiple areas of the forum)
  • Posting questions then immediately deleting your own original post after receiving responses.
If you see a user acting badly, don't hesitate to contact me. I'll deal with each person on a case-by-case basis...

This is a live document and may be subject to change in the future. If you have other suggestions for rules for this forum, please reply.

Thanks for helping me build a great community!
