Hi,
For Maths you can refer Kaplan Math Workbook or Manhattan Quant Guides. They contain good review of all concepts and basics which we learnt in school, followed by different levels of questions.
For Verbals -Manhattan SC and Powerscore CR have chapters which attack each and every topic individually.

Once you have mastered these basics you are good to go for practice questions and practice tests.

I've read through the princeton a little bit, and my students said that their explanations are very clear for beginners. Manhattan GMAT starts pretty basic, but also has more advance stuff as well.
Good luck!

I just read this after posting (probably should have read it before). Just thought that I'd say that I agree with the Manhattan, and Powerscore CR

Are you looking for books to teach you basic math, or books that refresh your memory on elements of the GMAT? If you're looking for the former, I don't think you should be studying GMAT.
