A. inspiring thousands of others to attempt overcoming
B. inspiring thousands of others to attempt to overcome
C. inspiring thousands of others to overcome
D. and inspired thousands of others to attempt to overcome
E. and inspired thousands of others to attempt overcoming

B is the best....

D and E are incorrect. we don't require verb parallelism here.

A is incorrect.. overcoming is not a verb.

now see choice C -

As i mentioned in the earlier post that shorter is not always better. C is grammatically correct but is changing the meaning to something else. Hence we will reject C

## please look at my earlier post or send me PM in case anyone needs clarification on this..

hence choose B

Hi Force5,

I feel that to attempt to x causes redundancy.......what do u say??? and can u explain a little bit in more detail i.e why D and E are wrong?
