the main subject of the sentence are Bela Bartok and Zoltan Kodaly. Hence "Bela Bartok and Zoltan Kodaly " need to be in the initial part of the sentence.
therefore eliminate A n D.

In C n E traveling the back roads .... is a misplaced modifier.

Hence IMO B.

My choice is B because of the reasons correctly pointed by loki.gmat.
