My acceptance letters are starting to roll in and now it's time to make a decision. I work full time and will be receiving $10K/yr in tuition reimbursement from my employer. I live and work in Chicago and I expect to stay with my employer if prudent.
My profile is as follows:
GMAT: 650
undergrad gpa: 2.7
6 years of work experience
So far I've been accepted to Indiana's Kelley Direct program and DePaul. I have pending decisions from Loyola, UIC and Northwestern. Loyola and UIC I'm not too concerned about - they were back up programs. Northwestern I realize is a stretch but it can't hurt to apply.
If Kellogg doesn't pan out, it looks like it's going to be between Indiana and DePaul, but this is a tough decision.
On one hand, IU has the name recognition. I feel like I should go to the best school available. I'm a little concerned about lack of networking since I only visit Bloomington twice for residencies and the rest is online. IU, however, does allow on campus recruiting for kelley direct student.
DePaul has good name recognition in Chicago, but if I don't think it would serve me well beyond the city. However, being on campus and networking are big qualities I feel would be missing if I went to IU.
Any advice on which way I should go?
