AWA - Keyboard

Hello,

Has anyone taken the GMAT in Paris. I am scheduled to take the test on Dec 16 and just realized that the keyboard is probably a European keyboard (AZERTY) and I use an American keyboard (QWERTY). I am a good typist, but only if the keys are in the usual place for me, so I am worried about the AWA section. Does anyone know if you can switch the configuration of the keyboard. I don't need to see the keys to type, so just changing the configuration would work.
Any advice?

Hi, I suggest you contact the test centre, if no one else on the board has taken the test in Paris. To my understanding AZERTY is used in French speaking countries (BTW not elsewhere in Europe i.e. not a European keyboard), so there is a good chance that it could be one. But then again it is an American standardised test, so it would make sense that it is a QWERTY.

My first contribution to this site and I talk about keyboards, hmm. Anyways, good luck!

In French Canada, we use QWERTY. I think only France uses AZERTY, not sure though.

I checked wikipedia and it seems that its used in France and Belgium. interesting topic! :)
