Today, I bumped into a question on the attitude of the author. I couldn't able to understand some of the options. I wanted to check whether there is any such comprehensive list of the attitudes of the author. To me, these terms are pretty standard and if we just understand them once then we don't need to think much in the exam regarding the meaning of each option. Following are few option that I grabbed from OG11:
1. complete indifference - unbiased, unemotional, unenthusiastic
2. qualified acceptance - agrees on certain points but not completely
3. qualified approbation - similar to "qualified acceptance"
4. skeptical amusement - cast doubt or imply some skepticism
5. implied skepticism - cast doubt or imply some skepticism
5. perplexed astonishment - show surprise
6. agitated dismay - troubled by the revelation
7. critical
8. questioning
9. objective
10. enthusiastic
11. respectful regard - agrees and show respect
13. pointed criticism - criticism
14. fervent advocacy - irrational, emotional tone of an advocate. Author tries to sell the idea over enthusiastically, not in measured way.
