Attempts to maintain the current level of funding for museums, though impressive, has not resulted in the continuation of financial backing for the coming year.

(a) Attempts to maintain the current level of funding for museums, though impressive,

(b) The attempt to maintain the current level of funding for museums, though impressive,

(c) Maintaining the current level of funding, though an impressive attempt,

(d) The impressive attempts to maintain the current level of museum funding

(e) Attempts to maintain the level of funding for museums currently, though impressive,

I find Option A right, what is wrong with it? Need help from experts

classifying meaning error is good for attacking sc/realizing meaning error. choice C suffer appositive meaning errors. maintaining current level of funding is not attempt. choice c is wrong
