At a snack bar, a customer who orders a small soda gets a cup containing c ounces of soda, where c is at least 12 but no more than 12 ½. Which of the following describes all possible values of c?

A. mod [12 ½ - c] ≤ ½
B. mod [c - 12] ≤ ½
C. mod [c - 12] ≤ ¼
D. mod [c – 12 ¼] ≤ ½
E. mod [c – 12 ¼] ≤ ¼

Per the forum etiquette could you please start including the OA in your questions?

Also the GMAT is not likely to ask any MOD questions. I'm not sure this is an appropriate way to word the question. Perhaps you could instead ask for the remainder, I'm guessing not a lot of people outside of a programming background know about MOD.

Also are we supposed to be taking the MOD of c typically MOD is written as 25 MOD 3 = 1 for example. Meaning is it supposed to be c mod [c -12] < 1/2 ?

mod is for "the modulus or absolute value of what is written in []" here.
