If an answer choice contains - neither x nor y learned about something

how do we negate it?

Both x and y learned about something

or

either x or y learned about something

The opposite would be "at least one of them learned about something".

Either...or means that one of them did the thing and not the other...
Atleast one of them means that either one of them or both of them did the work...
