Queen’s MBA Admit with a low GMAT Score

by GyanOne » Wed Mar 31, 2021 8:44 pm

Remember the Shawshank Redemption? Or at least, remember its poster? It said “Fear can hold you prisoner. Hope can set you free.” Philosophical as these lines may be, they certainly hold true in the case of a high potential applicant who almost gave up on his B-school dreams because of a low GMAT score (below even 600), but finally made it to the Queen’s MBA, with the same score! If a low GMAT score is your concern and is stopping you from applying to top Canadian b-schools, we can assure you that this is not an absolute. While a good GMAT test score matters, what is more important is to choose the right MBA program and apply with the right attitude.
If you focus on your strong areas, extra-curricular achievements, academic record, and differentiated work experience, you certainly can gain admission to a top program such as the Queen’s MBA..MBA Admission Consultants India

The HBS 2+2 is one of the few early admit MBAs around the world. Think of top MBA programs which allow applicants to be part of the admissions process right after college, and one thinks primarily of two programs – the Harvard 2+2 and the ISB YLP. Contrary to popular perception, there are other such programs as well. GyanOne presents a brief list of other such programs. This is certainly not exhaustive, but is meant to illuminate potential applicants in the penultimate year of college of possible opportunities..Masters in Management

MBA schools accepting GMAT scores in India – the scenario 10 years back
An MBA from India through the GMAT route was, till about a decade back, an exercise in futility.
At that point in time, ISB (Indian School of Business) Hyderabad had just about begun offering its renowned PGP program, and the most popular route for getting an MBA in India was to get one right after graduating from one’s bachelor’s program through the CAT route.
Appropriately, almost all students with GMAT scores in India chose to go abroad.. MBA Admission Consultants India

Masters’ Union School of Business is a technology-focused business school which is led by eminent veteran leaders, executives and businessmen. Wondering why are we writing about it?Is it as good as the ISB and top IIMs? Not yet, although this is yet to show us statistics to believe this, we are banking heavily on it. Why? The most idiosyncratic feature of this B-school is its ‘Masters’ – CXOs, MDs and even Members of Parliament, who not JUST teach the courses, but have also plunged out the finest curriculum.
To top it, the one-on-one ‘mentoring’ and ‘shadow’ programmes with the students wherein the students accompany their mentors to their workplace to see them in action, gives the first-ever hands-on experience on leadership. And for all those entrepreneurs, figuring out ways to gain that exposure and understand business risks first hand, consider this.. Masters’ Union School of Business

Is International experience for INSEAD important? Is it critical? Does visiting the US for a 2-day conference count as international experience? How about working with international colleagues? Does that count as experience or is it just global exposure?
These are all questions that we often get from aspiring INSEAD applicants, especially those from India and China. These questions are not without basis – after all, INSEAD itself mentions international motivation as a key criteria on which it evaluates applicants. However, does that mean that those with little time spent working away from their home nation stand no chance?..MBA Application tips
