Think of an MBA in Europe, and IE Business School in Spain immediately strikes one as a top option, not just in the region, but around the world. Ranked #11 in the World (FT ranking 2013), the program rates highly in comparison to other comparable programs in Europe, such as INSEAD and IMD. The European economy in general and the Spanish economy in particular, though, have caused some concern in the minds of potential applicants. In this interview with GyanOne, Eliana El Hage, Associate Director at IE Business School, discusses the school’s value proposition, career opportunities in Europe, IE MBA Admissions, and career statistics at IE Business School. Thank you, Eliana, for your time, and your perspectives! MBA in Europe

One can never imagine life at ISB till one actually gets there. At the time that I joined ISB, I had many questions in mind. Was my decision right or wrong? After having 7 years of experience, will I be comfortable studying? How will I adjust because I am going to college after such a loooong time………? How will I live without my family and with new friends? The list is never ending.. MBA Success Stories

The Georgetown (McDonough) MBA program is consistently rated among the top 25 programs in the USA. Located in Washington, D.C., the program seeks to instill global business knowledge, ethical decision making, and real-world management skills in its MBA graduates. Very popular with international candidates, the McDonough school also launched a new curriculum in 2012 to focus more closely on program objectives. GyanOne caught up with Shari Hubert, Associate Dean, and Michael Templeman, Director, Marketing and Recruiting for the Georgetown McDonough School of Business. Shari and Michael shared their perspectives on the MBA program, admissions, and career opportunities for students at the McDonough School of Business. Thanks Shari and Michael for your time and your perspectives, which will be very valuable to applicants as they consider McDonough for their MBA.. MBA in USA

The IMD Switzerland MBA is a very unique program. While the one-year program is considered to be very intense and rigorous, packing in the content and learning of a normal two year program in half the duration, the interview process is even more so. This is not your typical MBA interview – the IMD Switzerland MBA interview has five distinct phases. You don’t just attend the IMD Switzerland MBA interview – you attend the IMD Switzerland MBA interview day! This is nothing short of an event. The amount of preparation required for this event is rigorous and extensive. This is the story of how SM prepared meticulously and rigorously for the interview process at IMD and made it not just her day, but her year.. MBA interview tips

Gained admission to Babson but not taking it! The Babson MBA ranks #1 (and has maintained that ranking) for entrepreneurship MBA programs in the U.S., and has done so for the last 20 years! Imagine, then, someone getting into Babson and turning it down! Harsh Vinayak has always been in love with technology. He sought an MBA to be able to pursue his own venture in the field of technology. While applying to this program, he also applied to the MS in Software Management at Carnegie Mellon University – a top program for those interested in mastering software and systems. He got into both programs, but chose the Tepper MS over the Babson MBA! Here is his story..MBA Admission Consultants

The SMU (Singapore Management University) Singapore MBA is fast becoming a popular program for applicants across Asia. The Lee Kong Chian School of Business, Singapore Management University’s business school, offers the program in a 12 month (full-time) and 18 month (part-time) format. This is one of the few excellent one-year full-time MBA programs in the Asian region. Asia in general, and Singapore in particular, are seeing rising interest in their MBA programs, and the SMU MBA is among the top options for an MBA in South East Asia. This program is already one of those to watch out for, and we at GyanOne are sure that the SMU MBA will soon scale greater heights. GyanOne interviewed the Admissions Team at the SMU Singapore MBA to explore their perspectives on student opportunities, careers, student life, and application best practices for the program.. The MBA in Europe

by GyanOne » Sun Mar 21, 2021 9:34 pm

The MBA in Europe may not be an endangered program yet, but it has seen somewhat waning interest from top MBA applicants in recent times.
A weak economy and work permit concerns dominate the worries of international applicants thinking about an MBA in Europe.
The emergence of some more excellent MBA options in Asia, covered in the last part of this series, has further contributed to some Asian candidates preferring to stay closer home.
This does not impact top schools in Europe, however, and we at GyanOne believe that in spite of Europe’s economic condition, the value proposition of an MBA in Europe remains strong at least for top schools.. MBA in Europe

Carrying on from the first part, in the second part of this series on the MBA application journey of an Indian IT Male, we look at school selection as an important criteria for application success. This post assumes that as an IT professional looking to add business skills to your profile, you would be interested in taking up a specialization / major / focus area related to Information Technology or Information Systems. There are a few people who may be exceptions to this notion, and for them the B-school world is wide open as there selection criteria will depend on a number of factors not related to IT.. Srinivasan had heard a lot about the General Management Program (GMP) at the prestigious XLRI, one of India’s top B schools. Srinivasan is a distinguished professional. He attained a top rank in GATE, a very competitive examination at the graduate level in India. He also worked in the nuclear power sector in South India, winning recognition, awards, and promotions. His application was quickly shortlisted in Round 1 of the XLRI GMP Admission cycle. This was where Srinivasan faced the greatest hurdle – having worked predominantly in a remote location in the public sector in India, he wanted to polish his MBA interviewing skills, get acquainted with contemporary business issues, and learn more about corporate life before he could be fully confident of taking on the XLRI GMP interview. This is his story..MBA Admission Consultants India

Indian IT Male!! The term itself has become more of a categorization rather than a description.
The IT sector is one of the largest employers for Indian technology professionals, and is a service leader when it comes to technology and even business services.
Indian IT professionals work on the business and technology processes of the world’s leading organizations, and provide not just support, but also partnership in helping large organizations succeed and fulfill their business objectives.
Yet, the Indian IT Male tends to consider himself at an inherent disadvantage in the MBA admission process. This need not be the case, and IT professionals need to get their strategy right in selecting and applying to top schools without giving up on their dreams..Indian IT Male MBA
