Unfortunately I am missing quite a bit of relevant information here, especially as some of the schools you've mentioned are very competitive. So based on the information given I can't really answer that at this point.

Some of the information missing that I would need is of course your GMAT score, understanding if and how often you were promoted, what those NGOs are and what you role there is etc.

Sorry for late reply. I have got 730 in GMAT, 108 in TOEFL.
I am working in a startup and promoted twice in last 4 years.
I have been only participating in NGOs and did not have any active leadership roles there.
I had tried my own venture with a mobile app and website and had got 2000 downloads.
My undergraduate percentage are 66%, and Postgraduate score is 8.4 out of 10.
I am currently working as a Delivery Director in the app development company. I started as project manager here 4 years ago.
I have worked with clients/teams from every continent of the world, and lived in US for almost a year for company assignments.
I am 33 years old and married with a kid.

With this background, I am now looking for following schools:
Stanford
Duke
UT Austin
University of Michigan ROSS School of management
Carnegie Mellon
Uni. of Virginia Darden.
Indiana University Kelly School of management,

I wanted to know if these are the right (approachable) schools for me.
I was also looking for couple of schools where I could get admission with scholarship. It would be great if you have a suggestion or two for the same.

Ok, so out of these schools I would say that Stanford, Duke and Michigan Ross would probably be reach schools, the others do seem realistic with top notch applications but I see now that I forgot to ask you about your post-MBA goal, which would be important for school selection as well of course. So please keep that in mind when making your choice as well.

Of course you should still apply to reach schools as well (1 or 2) because you never know, but you definitely want to keep some more realistic options in your list as well so as not to end up with nothing.

I also want to point out that even with your experience and nice GMAT score you will need very strong applications in order to have a fighting chance as you come from a very over represented applicant pool as an Indian so please work hard on that!

As for scholarships, those are much harder to predict in forum threads like this, especially for Indian applicants, but they are possible. You can see here: https://aringo.com/mba-scholarships/ that the ARINGO team has helped applicants get scholarships at some of the schools you mentioned in the past so if you were to work with ARINGO on your application we could surely put you in contact with the relevant consultants in order to give you a more precise assessment on that part.

I certainly intend to take help from Aringo in the application process.
My aim is to join the product management groups of software companies such as Google and Microsoft.
Considering that fact, and with your previous suggestions, I am thinking of applying to the following colleges:

Difficult question, it's really quite personal as it depends on your budget (if working with an admissions consultant) and how much time you will have to work on your applications. I will say that the list is quite long, maybe longer than what we generally recommend and with one more reach school that we usually recommend for applicants. Does that mean you should not stick with your list, if you really think these are the schools for you and you have a good reason for that for each school? Not necessarily. We do see applicants with longer school lists as well and we don't discourage people from trying. The only issue with a lot of schools is generally that it can be hard to demonstrate fit for all of them (especially as there are significant differences between them) but if you think you are up for it, go ahead!
