As people become more and more aware of the dangers of water borne diseases, the demand for mineral water is increasing at a rapid rate, bottled mineral water providing both easy transportability and assured water quality.

(A) is increasing at a rapid rate, bottled mineral water providing both easy transportability and assured water quality
(B) has been increasing at a rapid rate, because of bottled mineral water both providing easy transportability and assuring water quality
(C) has increased at a rapid rate, since bottled mineral water provides both easy transportability and assures water quality
(D) will increase at a rapid rate because bottled mineral water provides both easy transportability and assured water quality
(E) increases at a rapid rate, with bottled mineral water providing both easy transportability and assuring water quality

There is a supposition here that is used. "As/If people become aware about the benefits of mineral water , the demand for mineral water will increase because of its good quality and blah blah blah...so something similar on these lines will be the correct answer.
You can, for example never foretell what any one man will do, but you can say with precision what an average number will be up to!

(A) is increasing at a rapid rate, bottled mineral water providing both easy transportability and assured water quality(Unclear meaning and it looks incomplete)
(B) has been increasing at a rapid rate, because of bottled mineral water both providing easy transportability and assuring water quality(If we read the first part ,which says that awareness will increase in future, so the the second part should begin with "will increase" as it will happen in future. Here "because of"is wrong ,simply "because"is fine)
(C) has increased at a rapid rate, since bottled mineral water provides both easy transportability and assures water quality(same as B)
(D) will increase at a rapid rate because bottled mineral water provides both easy transportability and assured water quality(Correct as "will" is used and the modifier "because mineral....." properly conveys why the demand is increasing.)
(E) increases at a rapid rate, with bottled mineral water providing both easy transportability and assuring water quality.(With bottled is wrong, we should use "because bottled" for clarity')

Question Stem --> "As people become more and more aware " -- Signifies futuristic Event.. we need futuristic verb

[A] Incorrect; "is" reflects Present Tense Event
Incorrect; Not futuristic verb.
[C] Incorrect; Not futuristic verb.
[D] Correct
[E] Incorrect; Present Tense.

Hi ,

I have a one doubt in option D.

will increase at a rapid rate because bottled mineral water provides both easy transportability and assured water quality

Is Parallelism both easy transportability and assured water quality
is ok? Because it should be both X and Y

Please advise and correct me if I am wrong.

The phrase has the right structure: both X and Y
X = easy transportability: adjective then noun
Y = assured water quality: adjective then noun
