Like is used to compare phrases ........not clauses.

ronnie's claim to throne........this is not a NOUN but a phrase..


Just as X so Y.........is a correct idiom but does not fit in the question sense.

why D is wrong. D compares verbs. when we compare verbs, subjects of verbs must be comparable. Is it right?
