'those' is the keyword to match with 'individuals'

whats the difference between "other" and "another" in this sentence
individuals[of one genetic composition] is the main subject its plural so those correctly pairs with it.
that of others - singular
the other [genetic composition] instead of its individuals
that of the next again singular

hope i'm correct if not rectify please

Other is an adjective meaning 'different'.
Another expresses quantity, something extra or additional.


Another: Give me another cup of tea ( I 've already drank one cup or more)Placed before a singular noun. (in the sentence .... another)

Other: Is this your dog? No, is the other behind it. Singular or pluar nouns.


The Comparison: match individuals with those and composition with another.

individuals of one genetic composition are better at reproducing than .......

First observation is the plural individualS and ARE(helping verb), so the choice should be parallal to this...

A. that of others - Singulat that - Wrong
B. the other - Wrong comparision of other
C. another - Wrong comparision of another
D. those of another - Plural and parallal - Right
E. that of the next - STRIGHT WRONG CONSTRUCTION.

Answer : D
