(B) as if they are
(C) that they will be
(D) that they are
(E) for being

the answer is pretty obvious...but i need why?

My guess is, Answer 'A'

The reason: "as" means "in the form of" here. The women really are the means of bringing peace. Hence, I guess 'B' is awkward. 'C', "D', 'E' all three are very weird.

IMO A

Why? Because it sounds the best, but that’s not reasoning. Could someone explain, what’s grammatically wrong with the rest.

Here is my take:

(A) as – “Seen as” is equivalent to “considered” - shows opinion. Correct.
(B) as if they are – Use of ‘if’ is wrong. ‘If’ should be used in conditional statements only.
(C) that they will be - “that” is used as conjunction here, but “seen that they will be” is really awkward.
(D) that they are - ‘they are’ changes the statement from an opinion to a fact. Wrong because original sentence shows just opinion.
(E) for being – awkward for sure, but not sure if there is any grammatical error.
