So I just decided to cancel my GMAT appointment. I have taken a few practice tests and was not even able to break 400. I could not decide if I should just take it and see what happens or go take it and if I didn't feel right about it hit the cancel or not show up. After reading a few posts I just pulled the trigger and canceled. I think my study schedule was a little all over the place. I kept doing practice questions but did not see to be getting any better. I think I had to many gaps in my understanding of concepts in both verbal and quant.
A little background on me.
I did my undergrad at Devry in finance and got a 3.0. I've got about 2 years at an investment consulting firm, contract job at major private bank, and 2 solid undergrad internships under my belt. I would like to get into top tier 2 schools (i'm a realist and am pretty sure there are not any Devry Alum at any of the top 10 programs).
I'm pretty sure I made the right decision to cancel and did not want to have a low first score plus Devry on my app. I think I just need to hit the books and get a solid score on the first try and go from there.
I wanted to get some thoughts on how top programs will view my going to Devry when the next app inline probably has just as good as a resume and went to a top 25 undergrad?
