Applying with multiple scores.

by avik629 » Thu Jan 09, 2014 1:06 am
I have taken the GMAT 3 times. On my last attempt my AWA and IR scores went doen a little.

Attempt 1 : Q48 V35 ; Overall: 680 ; AWA:4.5 ; IR:3
Attempt 2 : Q50 V34 ; Overall: 690 ; AWA:4.5 ; IR:6
Attempt 3 : Q46 V40 ; Overall: 700 ; AWA:4.0 ; IR:5

I have some questions regarding what AdCom will do based on the above.

1.) Will they take the best of each category separately? Eg: Q50 ; V40 ; Overall: 700 ; AWA : 4.5 ; IR: 6
Or they will judge me by my last attempt only?

2.) Will my score of 4.0 or 4.5, reflect negatively if my essays are good? Or they wont mind if I present outstanding essays?

I am applying for Indian School of Buisness, Early Entry Option.

Regards.

Schools will probably have access to all of your scores, but I think they usually consider only your highest overall score. Also I recently read that they don't put too much emphasis on the IR section.
