Can you please rate my profile:

GMAT(Appeared on 11th August 2009) -->660 (Q-49, V-32)
Work Experience --> 3 yrs (One of the Top notch IT Majors of India)
Extra Curricular -->
(1) National level flautist(Under the age of 18)
(2) Was involved in Network Marketing business and handled a team of 200 people.This required frequent travelling and meetings.
(3) Attended the World Entrepreneurship conference in Malaysia (Conference of Network Marketeers from all over the world)
(4) One of the Founder members of a start up software company.
(5) Founder of a Musical band at school level.
(6) Founder of a public library at school level.

Can you please let me know my chances of getting through in one of the top 25 b schools.
I'm not sure whether i would be able to scale up the score above 700(if a reappear for GMAT) because this time also it went well and i was pretty confident of the verbal score getting around 38-39.

Yes Abhishek,

Your profile sounds good. You have shown your leadership skills over a period of time. Since you have global exposure thru Marketing and conference, you have a good edge.

Your GMAT score is not bad. Try to push your level up thru your essays and other admission related stuffs. Moreover, our GMAT score alone cant get our admission.

Dear Abhishek,

Since your education and work experience are similar to a large percentage of the global MBA applicant pool, it is important for you to distinguish yourself from the competition. Your GMAT score will be low for this subset of the pool, so if you think you can raise the score it might be worth a retake. Be sure to convey your successful leadership and teamwork experiences in your essays as well as a solid rationale for getting your MBA in relation to your past experiences and future career goals. The essays, recommendations, and interviews will be significant components to your application and can make the difference for your decision. Finally, a top 25 is not impossible, but you might want to consider some schools in the 26-50 range as well. There are some great programs in this range that are comparable to those deemed a top 25 by a magazine.
