Applying >2 years after giving the exam

Hey,
I'm a college student in India, and I was wondering if some colleges don't value applications that are sent out more than 2 years after giving the exam? Apparently there's a chance that the gmat pattern might change withing the next couple of years, so there's a school of thought that recommends giving the exam now to avoid surprises. I'm pretty keen on giving the exam now, but I don't want to do it at the cost of undermining my score if I apply to colleges after more than 2 years.
I'd greatly appreciate any advice on the topic.

First B'Schools dont undermine your scores.
Second you dont have to take GMAT again if your score is competitive. That is in the 700+ range.
Third next generation GMAT is coming next year June or July and your scores will still be valid even after that for 5 years from the date of your exam. :)

So right now check out your score and give the exam when its not in a competitive range. Still the 700+ which I have mentioned is not for all the B'Schools, its for the top B'Schools. :)

Thanks for the reply, I'm just worried that in case the pattern does change, wouldn't that compromise scores that were obtained before the change in pattern? (And I'm not just asking about top 10 schools, but the top schools in general)
