Find the passage's point. What's the point being made, and why was it written (apart from the obvious point that it was written to affect your score on the GMAT)?

Also, if it's a "seriously weaken" question, try to imagine that someone who(m) annoys you/you detest is making the claim (Lord Voldemort? :twisted: ). I don't use this, but it has worked for quite a few people on these forums.

It's still early for me to declare that I have mastered critical reasoning and reading comprehension, nonetheless, I would like to share few things which are helping me a lot.

1- Initially you can lookup meanings of all the words you come across in a passage (an argument), later you won't need to do so.
2- To improve your concentration level you may try to interpret everything (line by line) into your own simple language.
3- Don't try to improve accuracy and speed simultaneously.
4- Once your accuracy level is appreciably high you can always work upon speed.
5- GMAT follows a very analogous pattern for all its critical reasoning questions, so, don’t worry much and just practice a lot you will get a hang of it soon enough.
