"The producers of the forthcoming movie 3003 will be most likely to maximize their profits if they are willing to pay Robin Good several million dollars to star in it – even though that amount is far more than any other person involved with the move will make. After all, Robin has in the past been paid a similar amount to work in several films that were very financially successful"

My Essay:
----------------------------

The author concludes that the producers of the forthcoming movie 3003 will be most likely to maximize their profits if they are willing to pay Robin Good several million dollars to star in it basing on the fact that , Robin has in the past been paid a similar amount to work in several films that were very financially successful. This argument is unconvincing for several reasons.

First of all, the author bases his conclusion on the questionable assumption that Robin Good role in the movie will be most likely to maximize the producers' profits. However, the author provides no evidence to support this crucial assumption. Moreover, given that there are other factors, such as how much Robin Good is suitable for the role or how other movies will be compared to the movie 3003, the truth of the claim is highly unlikely.

Second problem with this argument is that even though the amount of money which Robin Good will get is far more than any other movie, other movie starts in the movie, assume there are at least 2 start, will request as much amount of money as Robin Good. The more the expenses on these stars will be the more tickets the movie will have to sell in order to be profitable.

In conclusion, to strengthen the argument that The producers of the forthcoming movie 3003 will be most likely to maximize their profits if they are willing to pay Robin Good several million dollars to star in it, the author would have to prove casual connection between paying Robin Good several million dollars to maximizing their profits. Without this evidence, the argument is neither persuasive nor logically sound.

thank you for any help!
