How many complete tanks of water, each with a capacity of 3 cubic meters, are needed to fill an empty cylindrical tank whose height is 3 meters and whose base has a radius of 2 meters?

(A) 12
(B) 13
(C) 14
(D) 15
(E) 16

Volume of cylinder = (pi)(r^2)(h), where 'r' is the radius of the base of the cylinder and 'h' is the height of the cylinder.
So, volume of tank = (pi)(2^2)(3) = 12pi or 12 * 3.14 = 37.6 cubic meters appr.
Therefore, no. of tanks of water required = 37.6/3 = 13 appr.

The correct answer is B.
