A) Until quite recently, X, and Y, and Z. Where, X, Y and Z are independent clauses connected by coordinating conjunctions.
B) Use of where is wrong. Not sure what where is referring to.
C) for is used as because. But press was not solely responsible for the distinction. Press just cooperated in maintaining the distinction. Also, and is wrong.
D) Again, wrong use of for.
E) in which what is it referring to. Again, looks like, this option also has the same problem as C.

Yes OA E is justified, stunned to see so many A's here.

: There are three things happening here: American presidents lived in word...in...press co-operated ...and Americans judged ...so all the three are in past and needless to say they be in parallel....if that is the case then first and in underlined portion is wrong.

The world in which...where...and where is not parallel in B.

For in C seems to give some reason, but one the for and other the infinitive make me suseptive about this option. D si simply not parallel, E maintaines the parallelism, world in which...in which...and in which...I will opt E.
