The Application Process

Hi guys,

I had a quick question. Suppose i knew a famous Alumnus on a professional level and wanted him to maybe write me a character reference or something of the sorts, what would the best way to go about it be? I already have 2 recos from company supervisors and dont blv he knows me as well as they do.

Would it be a good idea for the alumnus to maybe write a email to the admissions company? would that hurt? is that allowed?
