Is it E? Tough to choose between D and E.

I didnt like " by some " in D.

Considered 'to be' is wrong in E.

It is, but this is one that trips up a lot of people because it's used so commonly.

Can someone please tell the difference between B and D and why to choose one over the other.

B uses the pronoun "his" without a noun for it to refer to; Beethoven is used as an adjective.
