Non-underlined portion:
the few events that were [carried live].
The words in brackets are omitted but implied.
Conveyed meaning:
SOME of the events were carried live.

A and B: all of events...were not carried live
Conveyed meaning:
No events were carried live.
This meaning contradicts the statement in blue.
Eliminate A and B.

C and D: events have been carried alive
Here, the usage of alive implies that the events were NOT DEAD when they were carried.
This meaning is nonsensical.
Eliminate C and D.
