A- friends (who were disinterested students) are now corporate figures, as well as friends from large cities having gone ARE NOT PARALLEL. Use of HAVING GONE is not appropriate. HAVING GONE is used when we talk about some other event as well.

B-SEMICOLON connects CLAUSES NOT PHRASE

C - -friends... becoming corporate figures, AND friends from large cities go ARE NOT PARALLEL. First part is a phrase and 2nd a clause

E - disinterested student friends are now corporate figures and friends from large cities..ARE NOT PARALLEL

IMO D
