I just got dinged for the NYU Stern Spring 09 Part-time program. I am definitely going to re-apply again for the Fall-'09 semester. What's frustrating is that AdCom doesn't give any feedback on your application.

Here are my basic stats.
Chinese American
26 yrs old
3-4 yrs on trading desk as a Trading Assistant
Gmat: 660, Quant 44, Verbal 38
BS degree, 3.4 GPA
2 good recommendations

So the question is now, how do I improve my application? Should I re-take the GMAT, even though it's within their 80% range. Any advice would be appreciated!

The GMAT is something that jumps out at me and certainly a higher GMAT could improve your chances. But, I think you should also have an Application Evaluation. You need to know if your essays and other application elements present you well. If not, you need to change them.

I'm sorry to hear it but happy to know you haven't given up.

We'd be happy to read through your applications and tell you what jumped out at us. Linda is right about the GMAT score. Hopefully, with some practice you can raise it a few more points. If there is anything in the essays, I'd be happy to provide you with a roadmap for moving forward.
