Advertisement: For sinus pain, three out of four hospitals give their patients Novex. So when you want the most effective painkiller for sinus pain, Novex is the one to choose.

(A) Some competing brands of painkillers are intended to reduce other kinds of pain in addition to sinus pain.

(B) Many hospitals that do not usually use Novex will do so for those patients who cannot tolerate the drug the hospitals usually use.

(C) Many drug manufacturers increase sales of their products to hospitals by selling these products to the hospitals at the lowest price the manufacturers can afford.

(D) Unlike some competing brands of painkillers, Novex is available from pharmacies without a doctor's prescription.

OPTION A - INCORRECT
This shows that the competing brands can be used multi-purposely because it reduces other kinds of pains in addition to sinus pain. Though, novex is said to be a pain killer that can be used for sinus pain.
Well, this doesn't undermine the argument because it isn't a reason why novex pain killer shouldn't be used.

OPTION B - INCORRECT
This helps to promote the argument because the purpose which is advertisement is trying to achieve is gradually coming to being. The fact that hospitals are now introducing novex to its patients is to support the argument and doesn't undermine it.

OPTION C- CORRECT
This option seriously undermines the argument because it show that the reason why three out of four hospitals give their patients novex is not because it is the mos effective drugs for pain killers but because it is sold for the lowest price by the manufacturers to the hospitals.

OPTION D - INCORRECT
If true that novex pain killer is available from pharmacies without the doctors prescription, it makes the drug more accessible and doesn't undermine the argument in any way.

OPTION E - INCORRECT
If true that novex pain killer has been found to be more effective than other competing brands of pain killers due to clinical trials, it completely supprts the argument because of the prove it provides behind the effectiveness of the drug.
