Hey

I have a 740 in the GMAT, a very average GPA (from a top-10 engineering institute in India) and the following under 'extracurriculars' :

selected to represent India in the 20th International Youth leadership conference and the 5th World Youth Congress (both scheduled for later this year)

was a National-level table tennis with a lot of individual gold medals at the national level

sports captain in college

member of the debating society in college and head of the master of ceremonies team in college

(Hope you get the picture......)

I am looking for a top MSc in management programme, which is not looking too carefully at my GPA. (I intend to try for an Ivy MBA later). Also, are there any other interesting options available out there for a profile like mine? I am extremely interested in social entrepreneurship, and will be doing some good work on it this summer.

So, it's either a really broad-minded MBA program or a top Masters in management (Europe) that I am looking for applying to.

Please give me schools suggestions for my A-list, B-list and C-list.

Thanks!!!

Hello,

If social entrepreneurship is what you want to do, I think a broader MBA may make more sense for you than a MS in Management, since the latter is going to be more theoretical and will likely take you further away from true hands-on experience.

Assuming that you're looking at MBA programs, can you tell me more about your profile? How many years of work experience do you have? What kind of work do you currently do?

I am a college senior, working on a B-plan with a professor at IIMB and intern-ing this summer at a startup social enterprise. The thing is, I am looking to work for sometime in a consulting/marketing profile after doing an MS in management. After getting some good experience, I plan to take the next step - mostly start up a social enterprise after having the requisite skill sets and experience.
